How to reach Trieste
By airplane: Airports info (Venice and Trieste Airports)
- If you land in Trieste (TRS): you can travel from the airport to the city by train, taking approximately 30 minutes.
- If you land in Venice (VCE): there are direct buses to Trieste; the service is provided by the Flixbus company. You can also travel to Trieste by train, from the Venezia Mestre station, taking approximately 2 hours.

High-speed trains run from Torino, Milano, Venice, Bologna Florence, and Rome to Trieste (FrecciaRossa). Regional Trains are available from Venice (Venezia Mestre). Trieste is also connected daily to several Italian and European cities by an intercity bus service provided by the Flixbus company.

Highway A4 runs from Torino, Milano, and Venice to Trieste and connects highways from Austria and Germany (Tarvisio, Brennero) as well as national highways from southern Italy.
