How to Reach the Venue
The workshop will take place at the Institute for Fundamental Physics of the Universe (IFPU), on the Miramare Campus in Trieste.

From Trieste city centre
The IFPU is located in the Miramare area, a few kilometres from Trieste city centre. The easiest public-transport option is usually the local bus line towards Grignano / Castello di Miramare.
From the city centre or from the area near Trieste Centrale railway station, take bus line 6 in the direction of Grignano. Get off near the Miramare Campus / Grignano area and follow the signs towards IFPU / ICTP.
Please check the current timetable before travelling, as bus schedules may vary depending on the day and season.
From Trieste Centrale railway station
Once you arrive at Trieste Centrale, you can reach IFPU by:
- Bus: take bus line 6 towards Grignano / Castello di Miramare.
- Taxi: taxis are available outside the railway station.
- Local train: some regional trains also stop at Miramare station, which is close to IFPU.
From Trieste Airport
Trieste Airport is connected to the city by train and bus through the airport intermodal hub.
By train
Regional trains connect Trieste Airport with Trieste Centrale. From Trieste Centrale, continue to IFPU by bus line 6, taxi, or local train if available.
By bus
The airport is also connected to Trieste by regional bus services. In particular, bus G51 connects the airport area with Trieste and can be useful for reaching the Miramare / Grignano area.
By taxi
Taxis are available outside the airport. Ask the driver for IFPU, Via Beirut 2, Miramare Campus, Trieste.
From Venice Airport
If you arrive at Venice Marco Polo Airport, you can reach Trieste by train or long-distance bus.
- By train: take a shuttle bus from Venice Airport to Venezia Mestre railway station, then take a train to Trieste Centrale.
- By coach: direct long-distance buses between Venice Airport and Trieste are also available.
