Sub-Riemannian geometry has emerged in recent decades as a prominent and independent research domain, acting as a crossroads for several branches of pure and applied mathematics. It provides a natural framework for the study of geometry and analysis under non-holonomic constraints.
The field is currently experiencing a period of significant development. After years of foundational theoretical work, the community has recently achieved important progress on long-standing open problems. Notable examples include recent advancements on the Sard Conjecture for the endpoint map and new insights into the regularity of sub-Riemannian geodesics. Given these developments, it is a timely moment to gather the international community to consolidate these advancements and foster the exchange of ideas between different research directions.
This conference aims to bring together leading experts and early-career researchers to explore the latest breakthroughs in sub-Riemannian geometry and its ramifications across pure and applied mathematics. A special session will celebrate the 75th birthday of Andrei Agrachev, recognizing his foundational role in the development of the field.
The conference will be held in Paris, at Institut Henri Poincaré.
